Bernal is going to officially sign the new deal later this week. Manchester United and Newcastle United were interested in triggering the Spaniard €20m release clause but the player will stay at Barca.
The 17-year-old current deal with Blaugrana expires in 2026. He will extend the contract until 2029.
Bernal suffered a season-ending injury earlier this season. The defensive midfielder was initially planned as Hans-Dieter Flick starter this campaign.
