The French heavyweights and Ligue 1 as a whole have lost a lot of bargaining power in tying down agreements with sponsors.

PSG shirt sales have also drastically declined since the departure of Lionel Messi and Neymar. They also lost Kylian Mbappe earlier this summer.

The club are also not being able to attract the media attention as much as they did when the huge players were a part of the project.

Despite the issues PSG have been performing strongly on the pitch and have won all their matches in the 2024-25 season so far.
