Having risen through the La Masia ranks together both are now first starters in the senior team. But their bond wasnt always smooth sailing.

On a recent episode of the Bar Canaletes podcast it was revealed that Lamine once reduced Cubarsi to tears during a U-15 training session.

The winger pace and technique were so overwhelming that Cubarsi couldnt hold back his tears in front of their peers.

The coach had a word with Pau reassuring him not to worry. He said Lamine Yamal is going to be a player everyone talks about in the future. You should be proud just to be on the same team as him.
