Barcelona have officially confirmed that Fermin Lopez has indeed suffered a new injury setback that will keep him out for longer than expected.
The Blaugrana claim that Fermin will be out of action for three weeks with the knock. That means he probably be back after the October international break.
In an official social media post Barca stated During training this morning Fermín López suffered an injury to the rectus femoris muscle in his right quadriceps. He is expected to be out around three weeks.
This new injury means that Fermin is poised to miss as many as six matches for Barcelona over the next three weeks or so.
He definitely out of the 2024-25 Champions League opener against AS Monaco and will also miss four La Liga matches.
