As per Arsenal insider Team News and Ticks Mikel Arteta planned to sign two interesting names this summer.
The Gunners explored the possibility of signing Barcelona winger Raphinha and Belgian midfielder Amadou Onana in the window.
But a major stumbling point was that both the players wanted to be guaranteed starters in Mikel Arteta XI. He could not agree to that wish causing the interest to evaporate.
Onana has ended up joining Aston Villa. He had a bright start with them scoring two goals in the first three Premier League matches.
Raphinha has also been on fire for Barcelona in the early season. He scored three goals and provided a few assists in the first four La Liga matches to take them to the top of the table.
