Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has revealed that he was open to everything this summer but ultimately did not hold talks with any other clubs about leaving the Etihad.
The Belgian playmaker had sparked speculation about his future after being linked with a move to Saudi Arabia at the end of last season. De Bruyne admitted that he had spoken to his family about possibly leaving City but never held discussions with potential buyers about a transfer.
I havent spoken to anyone to be honest De Bruyne told BBC Radio Manchester. There has been a lot of noise and news. I said in the summer I expect a quiet summer and that actually what happened.
De Bruyne who joined City in 2015 emphasized his focus on performing well and playing good football. He acknowledged that conversations about his future may arise as the season progresses but expressed no urgency to discuss his future at present.
Manager Pep Guardiola had previously stated that De Bruyne would not be sold and the midfielder comments confirm that he remains committed to Manchester City for the time being.
