Barcelona have struck an agreement with Rennes for the sale of young defender Mikayil Faye claims Fabrizio Romano.
He has given for the deal and states that the centre-back will have his medicals with the French club on Friday August 23.
Rennes are going to pay Barca a fixed fee of €12m. There is also a 25% sell on clause inserted meaning the Blaugrana can earn a portion of the fee Rennes receive upon potentially selling him in the near future.
However Barcelona have also inserted a buy-back clause. They have the chance to re-sign the Senegalese defender for €35m from the French club.
Faye will travel to France on Friday to complete all the necessary requirements to complete the deal. He couldn make any appearance for Barca senior team but made 35 appearances and scored four goals for Barca Athletic.
