Liverpool may go for a centre-back in the remaining days of the summer transfer window.
However according to The Athletic David Ornstein it will depend on players departures from Anfield and that includes Joe Gomez.
What you do pick up in conversations is that Liverpool are looking at that position centre-back but it would take some departures and probably both Gomez and Van den Ber Ornstein said on The Overlap.
Sepp van den Berg has already agreed to join Brentford in the coming days so Liverpool plans now depend on Gomez future.
According to previous reports Liverpool are not actively looking to sell the defender. However as Gomez himself is considering his future the Reds might accept a good offer.
