Erik ten Hag prioritised overhauling Manchester United injury-prone defense this summer with Victor Lindelof becoming the fifth-choice centre-back.
The Red Devils were open to the idea of selling the 30-year-old defender to fund other transfers particularly in midfield where there is a lack of options.
However as per the Manchester Evening News Lindelof is likely to stay at the club as he been injured and is not training making a sale difficult.
With only a year left on his contract and a recent injury selling Lindelof ahead of the August 31 deadline has become even more challenging for Man United.
