Pep Guardiola has said yes to Ilkay Gundogan return to Manchester City barely one year after he left the club Fabrizio Romano reveals.
Man City have been in positive contact with Gundogan camp during the week with an agreement expected in the coming hours.
What even more interesting is that Gundogan will leave Barcelona for free despite having two years left on his contract with the Catalans.
Gundogan was Man City captain in their treble-winning season. But he left Manchester following the expiration of his contract.
Barcelona are reportedly letting Gundogan go because of his high wages. The midfielder was Barca assist leader last season with 14. However his €9m net salary per year makes him too costly for Barca to keep.
