As per Fabrizio Romano Barcelona are willing to let Ilkay Gundogan leave the club for free this summer.
They will not ask for any transfer fee for the 33-year-old exit. His contract will be mutually terminated allowing him to join any other club as a free agent.
Man City are in talks with Gundogan agents and discussing the terms of a deal that will see him return to the Premier League champions.
Pep Guardiola has already green-lit the move and wants the midfielder back in his squad. Gundogan will now have to give a final approval for this deal to be confirmed.
Barca are being forced to offload Gundogan because of their financial troubles.
