According to the Daily Mail Manchester United have submitted a formal bid for Sander Berge but it less than Burnley £30 million demand.
The defensive midfielder 26 has not featured in the Championship so far. He been linked with a move to Old Trafford with Erik ten Hag making the necessary reinforcements before deadline day.
Berge is believed to be a back-up option in case Man United fail to sign Manuel Ugarte. Despite being in talks with PSG for months the Red Devils have not reached a full agreement yet.
PSG want at least £50 million for Ugarte but Man United believe that far too extravagant. As a result they are now looking at alternatives and have made an offer for Berge to test the waters.
