Real Sociedad boss Imanol Alguacil has firmly insisted Mikel Merino is going nowhere as he still belongs to their club.

Arsenal are in negotiations for Merino who is expected to leave Sociedad before the deadline day.

Reports have indicated that the Gunners are in the final stages of discussions but Alguacil is not convinced.

Merino was not involved in Sociedad squad to face Real Vallecano. Before the game the manager told reporters He still belongs to Real and is going to be with the team to the death.
