Conor Gallagher is expected to fly back to London from Madrid after spending nearly a week in the Spanish capital to complete his move to Atletico.
With Chelsea pulling out of the Samu Omorodion deal Atletico reportedly did not have enough funds to complete the move for Gallagher.
This does not mean the transfer is off as Chelsea are interested in signing Joao Felix from Atletico which would give them the necessary funds to sign Conor.
For now Gallagher is set to fly back to London and will start training with a separate group that includes Armando Broja and Trevoh Chalobah while his future is resolved.
