According to reliable Spanish outlet Relevo Martin Zubimendi has decided to reject a move to Liverpool.
After having initially hinted at his desire to join the Reds he now backed out and will stay at Real Sociedad instead.
Liverpool were ready to trigger his £51m release clause for the deal and the Spanish club were themselves reportedly ready to let him leave.
But Zubimendi wasnt totally convinced by the Reds offer and has ultimately decided against moving to Anfield.
Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed that Zubimendo told Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes on Monday August 12 that he wont join them.
