Arsenal hopes of selling Eddie Nketiah to Marseille have been dashed after the French club decided to pursue a deal for Elye Wahi from RC Lens instead.
According to reports Marseille was unwilling to meet Arsenal demands for a €30m package for Nketiah leading them to turn their attention to Wahi.
The French striker has agreed to join Marseille with the club offering a €25m fee plus add-ons to Lens. The deal is now close to completion with Marseille working on the final details.
Wahi decision to join Marseille means that Nketiah will have to consider alternative options with Arsenal keen to offload the striker this summer.
