Ilkay Gundogan has informed Barcelona of his final decision to continue at the club this season Ferran Martinez of Mundo Deportivo reveals.
Gundogan is attracting interest from Turkish clubs particularly Galatasaray and Fenerbahce but the midfielder seems bent on extending his stay in Catalonia.
In the aftermath of El Clasico Turkish sources claimed that Real Madrid Arda Guler asked Gundogan if he would move to Turkiye this summer. I have not made a decision yet was Gundo reply.
It looks like that decision has now been made with the 33-year-old insisting on building on his impressive first season at Barca.
Gundogan was Barca most consistent midfielder last season playing more than 50 games without injury and scoring five goals plus 14 assists.
