Manchester United have confirmed that summer signing Leny Yoro has undergone successful surgery on his foot injury.
The 18-year-old defender sustained the injury during the team friendly match against Arsenal in Los Angeles USA.
According to the club Yoro rehabilitation has already begun and he is expected to return to fitness in approximately three months.
This timeline suggests that Yoro will likely miss the start of the new season but should be back in contention by early November.
The French youngster joined United from Lille in the summer transfer window and was expected to be a key player for Erik ten Hag side this season.
Despite the setback the club is optimistic about Yoro recovery and looks forward to his return to the pitch.
