Ronald Araujo was initially expected to be out until October after picking up a hamstring injury while on international duty with Uruguay.
However there a possibility we might not see him back on the pitch for Barcelona until January 2025.
According to Javi Miguel of Diario Sport the Catalans are considering unregistering him from La Liga for the time being they did the same thing when Gavi tore his ACL last November.
This would give the club additional flexibility to register new signings or manage their salary cap.
It remains to be seen whether they will proceed with this decision though. After all Ronald remains one of Barca key players and keeping him sidelined on purpose could backfire.
