According to Fabrizio Romano a tier-one source Leicester City have initiated formal talks with Arsenal about the prospect of signing Reiss Nelson on loan.
Romano understands the Gunners are pushing for the loan to include an obligatory option to buy him provided the two sides can agree on a suitable financial package.
Leicester have appointed Steve Cooper as their new boss he worked with Nelson in the past for England youth teams.
Despite making his debut in the 2017.18 season Nelson has put together just 49 league appearances mostly off the bench.
The player is understandably keen to move elsewhere and play regularly. It remains to be seen however if Leicester can strike an agreement with Arsenal.
