Liverpool are planning to make a shock move for Takefusa Kubo reports Japanese outlet Sponichi as picked up by The Echo.
The source claims that Liverpool are willing to pay £55m to get the talented winger this summer.
They add that Liverpool consider Kubo an ideal replacement for Mohamed Salah who is expected to leave the club when his contract ends in the next year.
Kubo is indeed an interesting player trained at the Academies of Real Madrid and Barcelona. He currently plays for Real Sociedad in Spain where he has scored 16 goals and 14 assists in 85 games.
The summer is still long with the transfer window set to close on September 2. We can only wait to see who Liverpool actually signs before then.
