Sergi Roberto has decided to leave Barcelona after nearly two decades with the club ending a successful and storied career at the Camp Nou.
The 32-year-old who joined Barca as a teenager is out of contract and has been waiting for the club to offer him a new deal.
Although Barcelona had informed Roberto that there was still a chance for him to sign an extension he has grown tired of waiting and has decided to explore other options.
Roberto had initially agreed to an extension in May but the departure of Xavi Hernandez put the deal on hold.
If this is indeed the end of his time at Barcelona Roberto leaves behind a legacy of 375 appearances 19 goals and 43 assists including the famous goal that completed La Remuntada against Paris Saint-Germain.
