Cavan Sullivan has made history becoming the youngest player ever to appear in the MLS game. At just 14 years and 293 days old Sullivan shattered a 20-year-old record previously held by Freddy Adu who made his debut for D.C. United on April 3 2004 at 14 years and 306 days old.
The moment was even more special as Sullivan entered the game for Philadelphia Union in the 84th minute shortly after his older brother Quinn Sullivan scored a stunning goal from outside the box.
Cavan Sullivan signed a record-breaking homegrown player deal earning over $500.000 per season. Following the deal Sullivan has been playing for the Union MLS Next Pro team where he has delivered impressive performances.
According to Fabrizio Romano Manchester City have already signed Cavan for the future and we will probably see this young talent in the Premier League when he turns 18.
