Enzo Fernandez has apologised to his Chelsea teammates for a video showing him singing a song with racist slurs about French players.
Wesley Fofana Chelsea French defender responded to the video on Tuesday with a social media message condemning the racism.
Besides his public apology Fernandez also issued a private apology to the entire Chelsea squad on Wednesday morning according to the Telegraph.
Chelsea has started an internal disciplinary procedure and confirmed that Fernandez is likely to be fined following verification of the video authenticity.
