Arsenal have confirmed that Nuno Tavares has joined Lazio on loan for the 2024/25 season.
The Gunners have agreed a deal to loan the Portuguese defender for this season but Lazio must sign him permanently in 2025.
Arsenal are going to receive around €9m next year once Tavares joins the Italian side on a permanent basis in 2025. He has reportedly agreed a five-year contract with them.
Nuno spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Nottingham Forest but the Premier League side refused to sign him permanently.
Tavares becomes the second Arsenal player to go out on loan this summer after Albert Sambi Lokonga was loaned to Sevilla.
The 24-year-old full-back made 28 appearances for Arsenal since joining the club in 2021 scoring one goal.
