As per Fabrizio Romano Arsenal have struck total agreement with Lazio for the signing of defender Nuno Tavares.
The Portuguese defender will be loaned out for the 2024/25 season and there is an obligatory buy clause to fulfil for the Italian side in 2025.
Arsenal are going to receive around €9m for this transfer and have also inserted a sell-on clause into the contract.
Tavares has agreed on a five-year contract with the Serie A side that will stretch until 2029.
He is posed to travel to Italy at the weekend to undergo his medical before being able to complete the move.
Tavares made 28 appearances in his Arsenal career scoring one goal. He spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Nottingham Forest.
