Arsenal are still open to sign a new striker this summer as they are eager to let go of Eddie Nketiah permanently reports Fabrizio Romano.
The Gunners failed in their pursuit of Benjamin Sesko who decided to extend his stay at RB Leipzig.
However Romano does add signing a new striker will depend on the opportunities available. Arsenal are not expected to spend big as other areas require bolstering in the squad.
Goals were not a concern last season Arsenal scored 91 goals in the Premier League while Manchester City scored 96.
That said there are not many options to lead the line. Gabriel Jesus is woefully injury-prone which leaves Leandro Trossard and Kai Havertz to fill in.
