Over the past week several reports claimed Bayern Munich are set to agree on a transfer for Matthijs De Ligt to join Manchester United.
The centre-back mostly appeared off the bench for Bayern last season and they have no qualms about selling him.
De Ligt too is eager to move to Old Trafford his agents are only negotiating with Man United and no other club.
However according to The Athletic David Ornstein nothing is close to being done yet with Bayern.
Ornstein suggests both clubs remain in negotiations over the fee and payment structure.
He asks for patience from Man United stating there still work to be done in getting Bayern to agree.
Given De Ligt preference to move to Old Trafford and Man United persistence Bayern are expected to cave in sooner or later though.
