According to Sport the Brazil football federation have hatched a plan to potentially rope in Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager.
They suffered a disappointing exit from the Copa America after losing to Uruguay in the quarterfinal. After that the federation president hinted that Dorival will be in place until the 2026 World Cup.
But this is seen as a strategy to give themselves time to rope in a successor. The Brazilian federation is hoping that Ancelotti fails at Real Madrid and is relieved of his duties next season.
They aiming to reactivate the plan to rope in the Italian gaffer to guide their team to the upcoming World Cup if he leaves Los Blancos anytime soon.
Ancelotti was strongly linked to the Brazil job before signing a two-year contract extension with Real Madrid last season. His current deal expires in 2026.
