According to the Daily Mail Chris Wheeler and Fabrizio Romano Man United have made a new and improved offer to sign Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.
The Red Devils are now ready to pay around £45m up-front and a further £5m in potential add-ons for the Englishman.
Everton had rejected Man United opening offer for Branthwaite which is claimed to have been around £35m.
Despite the improved terms Everton are still valuing their centre-back at around £70m. They yet to respond to this latest bid.
Man United are also actively pursuing a move for Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt amid their desire to sign Branthwaite.
The Red Devils need to find a replacement for the departed Raphael Varane and might sign two centre-backs to add more depth to that position.
