Thiago has announced that he is retiring from football after his contract with Liverpool expired. The Spaniard has taken to social media to express his feelings.
He tweeted: I will always be willing to give back what I have been given and I am grateful for the time I have enjoyed it. Thank you football.
And to all who accompanied me and made me a better player and person along the way. See you soon Thiago.
Fabrizio Romano has previously reported that the 33-year-old plans to stay in football after retirement.
Thiago spent four years at Anfield. While marred by injuries his spell at Liverpool will still be remembered for his incredible performances in the midfield such as against Man United in a 4-0 victory in 2022.
