According to Fabrizio Romano via Give Me Sport Manchester United have not given up on their pursuit of Jarrad Branthwaite despite deeming the centre-back too expensive.
The Red Devils have had an initial bid worth £35 million rejected as Everton are expecting at least double that.
Man United do not believe he worth so much and have threatened to walk away from the deal entirely.
However Romano insists Branthwaite is still a target for Man United who are hoping for Everton to lower their demands.
That said Man United are looking at other options but would pounce on the opportunity to sign Branthwaite as they have already agreed on personal terms.
