Thanks to Liverpool opening Dutch connection we might seen a glimpse of their transfer activity this summer.
According to De Telegraaf the Reds are making frantic attempts to sign Feyenoord holding midfielder Mats Wieffer.
The 24-year-old joined Feyenoord in 2022 and turned into a regular starter and a Dutch international while working with Arne Slot.
The report states however that Liverpool may have acted too late. Brighton already have a verbal agreement with Feyenoord over a deal worth an initial €30m fee.
If they are truly interested in Wieffer though Liverpool might have a good chance to hijack the deal thanks to the Arne Slot connection and the fact that they can offer an opportunity to play in the Champions League.
