Erik ten Hag has signed a one-year contract extension at Manchester United the club officially announced on Thursday morning. The 54-year-old will now remain at Old Trafford until at least June 2026.
The manager said: I am very pleased to have reached agreement with the club to continue working together. Looking back at the past two years we can reflect with pride on two trophies and many examples of progression from where we were when I joined.
However we must also be clear that there is still lots of hard work ahead to reach the levels expected of Man United which means challenging for English and European titles.
Ten Hag was on the verge of losing his job at the end of the 2023/24 season but the FA Cup final win against Manchester City convinced INEOS that the Dutchman was right man to take the club forward.
