According to Fabrizio Romano Manchester United are likely to end up with Jarrad Branthwaite as they feel he is too expensive.

Everton have not backed Branthwaite 70million to sign a contract there until 2027.

Although Man United have agreed personal terms with Branthwaite price differences are proving to be breaking the deal.

The Red Devils are offering the 22-year-old around 35million as their first offer.

Now the second bid looks more uncertain as Man United feel they can not match Everton ambitious offer.

Romano understands that Man United are actively looking at other options including Matthijs De Ligt.
