Germany could actually be without both Antonio Rudiger and Jonathan Tah for their last-16 game against Denmark.
While Tah is suspended Rudiger remains a big doubt amid his thigh injury. The final decision is expected to be made right before the game on Saturday June 29.
Borussia Dortmund Nico Schlotterbeck and Stuttgart Waldemar Anton are most likely to replace the two centre-backs against Denmark. The latter has only appeared in friendlies so far.
Rudiger and Tah were crucial to Germany impressive outings in the group stage.
