Reports in Portugal quoted by Goal now say Arsenal are close to reaching an agreement with Sporting CP over the signing of Viktor Gyokeres this summer.
Although the Gunners have been in contact with Gyokeres for months negotiations have stalled due to Sporting demand for more than 100 million.
Sporting is now reportedly willing to accept the first 90 million up to 120 million in add-ons.
Arsenal are believed to have agreed to this as they are desperate to sign a new striker to take them from the Premier League runners-up to next season winners.
Gyokeres 26 scored 29 goals last season leading to interest from some of Europe top clubs including Arsenal.
