Fabrizio Romano via Give Me Sport reports that Manchester United have discussed Erik ten Hag with his new contract which has been confirmed at 90%.
Ten Hag plans to sign a contract that runs until 2027. The two sides have agreed on a contract but are involved in negotiations regarding other aspects.
The boss may be required to relinquish control over the transfer as part of INEOS claims.
However Romano claims Ten Hag knows Jim Ratcliffe wants him to stay which could help the Dutchman push for better conditions.
Romano added that Man United want to defend Ten Hag and sign a new contract to avoid a media circus in 2024/25 if the result does not reach flight.
