Erik ten Hag will continue as Manchester United manager after a review at the end of the season led to the decision to retain the Dutchman according to David Ornstein.
He is now expected to negotiate a contract extension. Ten Hag has been sidelined since the FA Cup final against Manchester City.
After a period of significant uncertainty about the future of Ten Hag United is believed to have met with the 54-year-old on Tuesday and both parties preferences are for his term to continue.
United existing Ten Hag contract runs until next June with the option of a 12-month extension and they will now discuss the extension.
United will return for pre-season training in early July with the club first pre-season friendly against Rosenborg in Trondheim Norway on July 15 before heading to the United States.
