Joselu has written himself into Real Madrid history books with his extraordinary strength in helping Los Blancos beat Bayern Munich in 2-1 4-3 in the Champions League semi-finals.
The 34-year-old striker is on loan from Espanyol at Real Madrid but his form has forced the club to bring him back.
According to El Chiringuito Joselu is now closer to staying at the Santiago Bernabeu next season. However it remains unclear whether he will be permanently signed or bring back another loan.
Real Madrid have recently been offered Joselu a one-year contract extension signaling another loan move from Espanyol.
They have the opportunity to sign permanently for just 1.5 million in the summer. But the short arrival of Kylian Mbappe may be why Real Madrid do not want to tie Joselu to a long-term contract.
The Spaniard has become a favorite in Real Madrid dressing room after scoring 16 goals in 47 appearances this season.
