The Guardian reports that Mauricio Pochettino is not expected to be sacked as Chelsea manager before the end of the season.
However the Argentine manager is at risk of being fired in the summer according to some sources.
A split could be more likely if Chelsea miss out on European competition this season.
While things remain the same Chelsea are ninth three points behind Newcastle in seventh place in extra time.
Pochettino has not lost his locker room so the players revolt is unlikely to be a reason if the manager is sacked. However there are complaints of unhappiness about some strategic options.
