Josko Gvardiol used to play mostly as a central defender early in his career. However since joining Manchester City last summer Guardiola has mostly used him as a left-back.

In his first season at the Etihad Stadium Gvardiol often started on the opponent home ground. His main job is to create space and pass the ball for our strikers.

Now as he nears the end of his first season with Manchester City the 22-year-old feels he is getting a Guardiola suspension.

I love the new competition and it has been a big problem for me this season said Josko Gvardiol. I try to do my best all the time and of course I need some time to adapt and understand each other in the team.

Being in the last third place is something new for me.

This season Gvardiol has made 23 appearances as a left-back and 10 as a center-back. Josko scored 1 goal and passed 1 goal.
